Program Overview

Phlebotomy is the process of making a puncture in a vein to obtain blood samples for laboratory testing. Students will learn how to perform venipuncture and capillary sticks. Students will practice on a mannequin first and then on each other to receive real experience before clinical externship. If you are not comfortable with this process, please do not sign up for class.
